“UWYTA ” is a social enterprise established on the values of passion, innovation and commitment to create positive impact. In 2021, Margot Wehbe initiated this transformative journey as a university project, recognizing the environmental repercussions of non-recyclable chips and chocolate wraps. By shifting her perspecitive on non-recyclable waste, Margot’s solution was simple yet revolutionary.
UWYTA, which stands for Upcycle What You Throw Away (pronounced “قوتها”, meaning ’power of women’). they upcycle chips/chocolate wraps and textile waste which cannot be recycled at all from ending up in landfills by transforming them into fashionable and everyday use items like the one you have! They also help women from vulnerable backgrounds to secure job opportunities
